    You can host your site on any server, which fits the requirements, but we recommend you hip.lv for two reasons: first — we know it works, second — they support young artists and hosting is super cheap! For Berta's sites it is 10 euros or 5 lats a year!

    Yes, yes, yes! I like hip.lv, what now?

    Next step is to buy a domain name (like www.YourName.com) and find a nameserver tab there. Nameserver is the way how internet knows where your site is hosted. So each physical web server has his own unique hostname. For hip.lv you have to enter this: 

    Primary Server Hostname: ns1.hip.lv

    Primary Server IP Address: 195.244.128.220

    Secondary Server Hostname: ns2.hip.lv

    Secondary Server IP Address: 195.244.131.242

    The last step is to let hip.lv know about you, so they can create an account for you.

    I have a domain name already

    If you have a domain name like .com, .net, or similar, then you can login into your domain name account (the site where you bought it)  and change the nameservers at any time. But if you have .lv, then you have to send email to dns-reg@nic.lv with a request to change it (it might take few days).
